Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Kojú Botanicals (“we”) collects when you use this website, why, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email, phone number, delivery address and landmark, any note you add, and what you bought.
• If you create an account: your email, and any name, phone number and addresses you choose to save.
• If you join our letter: your email address.
• Payments: handled by Paystack. We never see or store your full card details.

Why we use it

• To take payment, deliver your order, send order and delivery emails, and provide receipts (needed to fulfil our contract with you).
• To run your account, if you create one, and show your order history.
• To send our letter, only if you sign up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To keep accounting and tax records, and to prevent fraud (our legal obligations and legitimate interests).

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the shop, and only what each needs:

• Paystack (payments), Supabase (our database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting) and Resend (emails).
• Shipbubble and the courier delivering your order receive your name, phone number, email and delivery address. Couriers are told the parcel contains a “Kojú Botanicals product”; product names are not shared.

Some of these providers process information outside Nigeria. We use providers that protect personal data to recognised standards.

Cookies and storage on your device

If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in. Your bag and chosen currency are saved in your browser so they’re there when you return. These are needed for the shop to work; we use no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Order and receipt records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. Account details are kept until you ask us to delete your account. Letter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, or object to or limit how we use it. You can withdraw consent (for example, to our letter) at any time. Email us at kojubotanicals@gmail.com; we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

This shop is for adults. Our sensual wellness range is only for people aged 18 and over.
